How I Generate Traffic To My Websites

The most important factor in the success of any internet business is the supply of quality traffic. Without traffic you can not go ahead with your online ventures. You may develop a very good sales page or may have an excellent product or service to sell,but unless there are visitors to your site,all these will be useless. There will be no one to know about your products or services and hence you won't get any sales.

The quality of the traffic is also very important. What you need is targeted traffic and not general one. You may buy traffic from different sources,such as guaranteed traffic,pop-up traffic,exit traffic etc. But these traffic are of low quality and you get a very low return on your investment.

The method I use to generate traffic is through article submission. This is also called 'Article Marketing'. I write a number of articles relating to the topic of my website. I then submit these articles to various article directories on the net. There is a 'Resource Box' or'Bio Box' at the end of each article,which contains a short description about me and a link to my website. Visitors to the article directories read my articles and if they like them,visit my website through the link at the end. In this way I get good quality targeted visitors to my site. Sometimes my articles are picked up by other webmasters to be published in their websites,ezines or newsletters. This helps me to get even more visitors.

To generate traffic through articles,the following points should be kept in mind:

(1) Make the articles short (300 to 500 words). These should be informative,easy to read and free from any spelling or grammatical mistakes. The articles should be related to the topic of your website or blog.

(2) At the end of the articles,there should be a short description about yourself with a link to your website. This is known as the 'Resource Box' or 'Bio Box'.

(3) The articles should be submitted to various major directories having a high traffic.

If you follow this method for sometime,you will definitely start getting good quality targeted traffic to your website/blog.

Earning from Google Adsense

Google Adsense is a good way to earn money from the net.If you have
a Blog or a Website, you can apply for Google's Adsense program.If you
qualify for the program,then Google will provide you with some codes-
known as Adsense codes which can be copied and pasted to the relevant
area of your site/Blog. Immediately some Ads will appear on your Site/
Blog which are relevant to the content of your site. Whenever some visitor
clicks on these Ads, you will earn money. The amount earned per
click may be anything between $0.10 to $5. It mainly depends on the
keywards used in the content of your site. Some keywards are lowpaying
while others are highpaying.If more highpaying keywards are used, the
earning per click will be more. Payment is received when the balance
reaches $100.

Earning from Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a way to earn from internet.It is basically
selling other people's products for a commission. The products may be
digital,such as an E Book,or a product which requires physical delivery.

There are a number of merchant networks through which affiliate
marketing can be done.Some of the most famous merchant networks are--
Clickbank,Commission Junction,Shareasale,Clixgalore etc. To start with
one has to be a member of these networks.He can then search among the
various products listed there and start promoting any product/products
which he finds suitable. Sometimes commission is payed only on a sale,
sometimes commission is paid on a lead or a click on a banner.

Affiliate marketing can be very lucrative if done in the correct way.
Many affiliates are making thousands of dollars through this business.
The main advantage of this business is that it can be started with a
very low budget and there is no need to stock any inventory.
